A TOTAL of 243,035 household beneficiaries or 78.59 percent of the overall beneficiaries in Cagayan de Oro received the cash aid, Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) Special Ayuda, as of August 19, 2021.

The DSWD-Northern Mindanao has also approved City Mayor Oscar Moreno's request to extend the payout of the ECQ Special Ayuda so more people will receive the cash aid.

On August 4, Acting City Administrator Teddy Sabuga-a Jr., City Social Welfare and Development Overseer Michael Christopher Fabello and City Treasurer Jasmin Maagad received the check amounting P767,824,000 from DSWD. The check is the fund allotted for the ECQ Special Ayuda.
