A TOTAL of 3,130 frontline healthcare workers in Cagayan de Oro City have received their second doses of the Covid-19 vaccine as of April 6, according to Acting City Health Officer Dr. Lorraine Nery.

On Monday, April 5, Cagayan de Oro started the vaccination rollout for the second dose of Sinovac vaccine in six of its hospitals.

Among the six hospitals were Northern Mindanao Medical Center, JR Borja General Hospital, Cagayan de Oro Medical Center, Camp Evangelista Station Hospital, Madonna and Child Hospita and Polymedic Medical Plaza.

Meanwhile, the second round of Sinovac vaccines arrived in Laguindingan Airport Wednesday morning, April 7. The 24,000 vials will be distributed by the Department of Health (DOH)-Northern Mindanao to the cities, provinces and municipalities of the region.

Ellenietta Gamolo, DOH assistant regional director, and Dr. David Medoza, together with the representatives from the Food and Drug Administration, received the vaccines which were transported via a commercial flight of Philippine Airlines.
