6 persons nabbed in Gingoog for various charges

POLICE have arrested six persons wanted for various charges in the police's Simultaneous Aggressive Police Operaton (Sapo) in Gingoog City Tuesday, January 28.

In a joint manhunt operation, police nabbed six suspects identified as Eric Sagrado, 18; Rico Talja, 31; Florentino Badilla, 69; Ryan Cafe, 36; Jordan Belarma: all residents of Gingoog City; and Rofel Estallo, 41, of Claveria, Misamis Oriental.

Sagrado faces illegal possession of firearms, ammunition (Republic Act 10591) and concealing of deadly weapon; Talja was charged with theft; while serious physical injury was filed against Cafe.

Belarma faces carnapping and robbery charges; Estallo was charged with violation of RA 9262 (An act defining violence against women and children); and Badilla for rape.

The suspects may post bail except for Badilla, who was not allowed by the court to post bail.

All the suspects were arrested on the same day by virtue of arrest warrants issued by different courts.

Police said one of the suspects was listed as number 7 in most wanted persons in Camiguin.

The suspects are now under police custody and will soon be tried in court.
