66 new Covid cases in Cagayan de Oro

THE City Health Office reported on Thursday, January 13, 2022, 66 new cases of coronavirus disease (Covid-19) that brought Cagayan de Oro's total caseload to 20,778.

According to the City Health Office, of the 66 new cases, one was a locally stranded individual (LSI), two were returning overseas Filipinos (ROFs), and 63 were local transmissions.

Among the 63 new local cases, 39 were local index cases, 12 were local cases with link, and 12 were authorized persons outside residence (Apors).

The city health noted a rise in the number of active cases in the city.

Cagayan de Oro logged 327 active cases.

Of the figure, 73 were admitted to the Northern Mindanao Medical Center and other hospitals in the city, 239 were outpatients and 15 ROFs/LSIs.

The total number of recoveries in Cagayan de Oro is at 19,598.

The number of Covid-19 deaths in the city remained at 853, with no new Covid-related death recorded in Cagayan de Oro.

THREAT. According to a Capitol consultant, the Cebu City Government is threatening to shut down the Cebu North Bus Terminal at the back of SM City Cebu (left) and the Cebu South Bus Terminal along N. Bacalso Ave. for operating without a business permit.
