7th Covid-19 case in Misamis Oriental town is an ROF

THE Municipality of Villanueva, Misamis Oriental has recorded its seventh confirmed coronavirus disease (Covid-19) case involving a returning overseas Filipino worker (ROF) who tested positive for Sars-CoV-2 on Friday, July 31, 2020.

The seventh case is a 34-year-old male ROF from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia-Al Khobar. He arrived in Manila on July 20, 2020 and was swabbed by the Philippine National Red Cross.

He was transferred to Phoenix Hotel in Pasay City. His swab test result came out negative on July 27.

The man arrived at the Laguindingan Airport around 2 a.m. on July 28 and was brought directly to Marriane Suites in Cagayan de Oro by the Provincial Health Office personnel.

At 10:30 a.m., he was brought to the barangay isolation unit in Villanueva town. He went through a rapid diagnostic test and the result came out positive on both IgM and IgG.

He was transferred to the municipal isolation unit where he was swabbed. The result came out positive on July 31.

According to the Municipal Health Office of Villanueva, the 34-year-old male is asymptomatic and has no community exposure.
