Bukidnon contractor killed, robbed in Oro

AT LEAST two persons were killed in a shooting incident in Sitio Agong, Barangay Canitoan, Cagayan de Oro City.

Captain Jason Sto. Domingo, Bulua police station commander, identified the victims as Wilmer Apostol, 44, a contractor from Valencia City, Bukidnon, and his companion Bryan Retchie Campugan, 26.

Initial investigation revealed that the victims, while traversing the road riding a Bongo truck, were shot by riding-in-tandem gunmen.

Apostol sustained several gunshot wounds to his body, while Campugan was hit in the face.

Witnesses told police that one of the suspects were seen pulling out a bag from the truck's front seat. Apostol was said to be carrying money intended for his employees' salary.

Meanwhile, 10 cartridge cases of a caliber .45 pistol were recovered from the crime scene.

As of Monday afternoon, police are still on a manhunt operation to identify and trace the suspects.
