Cagayan de Oro records additional 3 Delta cases

THE City Health Office (CHO) reported an additional three Delta cases in Cagayan de Oro, bringing the total number to 95.

According to City Health Office medical officer Dr. Ted Yu, of the three new Delta cases, two were males and one was a female.

He added that the specimens were collected for Genome testing on October 24 to 26, 2021.

The youngest in this new batch of Delta cases is 26 years old, while the oldest is 57 years old.

Yu said that all three new Delta variant cases were declared clinically recovered on November 6, 2021.

One of them was in the isolation facility prior to the swab, while the two others were transferred to the isolation facility immediately after both tested positive.

He added that two of the Delta cases were fully vaccinated, and the other one was unvaccinated.

The CHO medical officer said that three of the new Delta variant cases were residents of Barangays Camren, 14, and Iponan.

The contact tracing for the close contacts of the Delta variant cases is still ongoing, Yu said.
