ALL corners of the Misamis Oriental Provincial Jail (MOPJ) underwent disinfection procedure after Governor Yevgeny Emano ordered the prohibition of jail visit until further notice to ensure that inmates are free of the coronavirus disease (Covid-19).

Members of the Provincial Government Services Office (PGSO) conducted disinfection activity in all detention cells, including all comfort rooms, beds, kitchen, chapel and other areas where detainees gather.

All inmates were gathered at the basketball court while heavily guarded as the team disinfected the facility.

The MOPJ has 451 inmates at present.

Meanwhile, Emano also ordered the installation of foot bath and hand washing facility at the capitol grounds.

The foot bath was put up in front of the Capitol's entrance for employees and clients to step on before entering the building premises. They will also be subjected to thermal scanning.

"Kini tanan inisyatibo ni Gob. Emano isip lakang sa pagpanalipod ug pagbatok sa Covid-19 hilabi na duol sa kapitolyo ang NMMC," the Capitol said.

(These are all initiatives of Governor Emano as measures to prevent and fight against Covid-19, especially that the Capitol is near the NMMC.)
