AN INITIAL budget of P10 million to P25 million is allocated for the conversion of the Cebu Pacific Flight 387 Shrine in Aposkahoy, Claveria Town into an agri-tourism site in Misamis Oriental.

According to lawyer Jeffrey Saclot, Provincial Tourism Department head, the soon-to-be Misamis Oriental Agriculture and Tourism Complex will have its coffee shop, view deck and a field of variety of flowers.

“Mahimo na siyang plastar kaayo nga tourism site ilabi na karon na a lot of people mohapit diha kay diha naman sila moagi sa secondary road. Labi na katong gikan sa Butuan ug Gingoog nga moanhi og Cagayan, moadto didto sa east side. They prefer to take the Villanueva-Claveria-Gingoog road,” Saclot said.

The Cebu Pacific Flight 387 Memorial Shrine was built in memory of the 104 passengers and crew who were killed after the 5J387 plane crashed on the slopes of Mount Lumot in Gingoog City, Misamis Oriental on February 2, 1998.
