Carmen holds most number of active cases in Oro

BARANGAY Carmen is still the village with the most active cases in Cagayan de Oro as of Wednesday, June 30, recording a total of 118 active cases.

The total number of active cases in the city has reached 1,069, of which 342 were admitted to the Northern Mindanao Medical Center (NMMC) and other hospitals in the city, and 727 were outpatients.

According to the report of city epidemiologist Dr. Joselito Retuya, following Barangay Carmen are barangays Kauswagan, recording 105 active cases; Bulua with 83 active cases; Balulang with 70 cases; Iponan with 66 cases; Patag with 52 cases; Lumbia with 52 cases; Bugo with 50 cases; Gusa with 49 cases; Lapasan with 46 cases; and Macasandig with 45 cases.

Meanwhile, the total number of vaccinated individuals in Cagayan de Oro as of June 30 is now at 63,261, of which 51,190 received their first dose of the Covid-19 vaccines and 12,071 are fully vaccinated.

According to Mayor Oscar Moreno, of the 63,261 vaccinated individuals, 17,435 are frontline healthcare workers (A1 group), 27,370 are senior citizens (A2 group), and 18,456 are persons with comorbidities (A3 group).
