City Health Office notes increase in active cases; now at 414

THE City Health Office has noted a further increase in the number of active infections in Cagayan de Oro after the city logged 42 new coronavirus disease (Covid-19) cases.

As of 10 p.m. Friday, April 30, the city recorded 22 local cases with link, 10 local authorized persons outside residence (Apors) and 10 local index cases.

This brought the total confirmed Covid-19 infections in Cagayan de Oro to 4,826.

According to Acting City Health Officer Dr. Lorraine Nery, of the 4,826 total Covid-19 cases in the city, 437 were under the returning overseas Filipino workers/locally stranded individuals (ROFs/LSIs) category and 4,389 cases were local transmissions.

The city's active cases, on the other hand, reached 414, 97 of whom were admitted to the Northern Mindanao Medical Center and other hospitals in the city, 314 were outpatients, and three were ROFs/LSIs.

Cagayan de Oro also registered 20 Covid-19 patients who have recovered from the disease, bringing the total recoveries to 4,197, with a 86.96-percent recovery rate.

Of the figure, 310 were LSIs, 122 were ROFs, and 3,765 were local cases (community: 3,201; Apors: 564).

The number of Covid-19 deaths in the city was at 215.
