This came after the environmental swab test at the City Slaughterhouse showed negative result of the presence of African Swine Fever (ASF) virus.

In an advisory by the City Veterinary Office, backyard hog raisers are directed to avail themselves of the services of the City Slaughterhouse, otherwise pork meats will be subjected to confiscation for violation of the Republic Act 9296 of the Meat Inspection Code of the Philippines.

It can be recalled that the operations of the City Slaughterhouse was suspended for disinfection after the ASF virus entered its premises.
