AN OFFICIAL of the Police Regional Office-Northern Mindanao (PRO-10) on Tuesday, June 11, confirmed that ambush survivor Lieutenant Colonel John Michael Deloso has returned to his post as deputy chief of the Regional Police Strategy Management Unit (RPSMU) in Camp Alagar.

PRO-Northern Mindanao spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Surki Serenas said Deloso reported for duty last April.

"LtCol Deloso already reported for duty last April and he is back to normal routine at the RPSMU as deputy chief," Serenas said.

Deloso had requested to extend his medical leave twice after he survived the ambush at the capitol compound along Luna street, Cagayan de Oro City last November 20.

He filed frustrated murder charges against two anti-illegal drug police officers a month after the incident. The cases are still being heard in court.

"The atmosphere is normal. This is also because they still have high respect for their uniforms, otherwise they must have shot each other. Let the law takes its due course," Serenas said.
