Cops eye personal grudge, land conflict in farmer's murder

INVESTIGATORS are still looking at personal grudge and land conflict as possible motives in the killing of a farmer in Kalilangan, Bukidnon Friday, November 8.

Killed was Johnny Balasa, 36, while the suspect was identified as 47-year-old Apolonio Donguines, a fellow farmer.

Investigation disclosed that the victim, armed with a shotgun, was walking towards his farm to check on his newly harvested rice when the suspect attacked him.

The victim sustained several gunshot wounds on his chest and forehead.

Police seized fired cartridges from the crime scene.

Operatives launched a hot pursuit operation but failed to arrest the suspect.
