Cops nab man with P500-K illegal drugs

ANTI-DRUG operatives have arrested a man from Marawi City who yielded half a million pesos worth of suspected illegal drugs in a sting operation in Barangay Kauswagan, Cagayan de Oro City, Thursday, May 30, 2019.

Arrested was 36-year-old Mohammad Salic who is on the drug list of the Directorate for Intelligence (DI). He is detained pending the filing of charges against him.

Operatives from Police Station 9 in Macasandig carried out a drug bust against Salic after receiving information that he allegedly engaged in the illegal drug trade.

Authorities seized three packs of suspected shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride) worth around P500,000.

Investigators are still looking into other transactions of the suspect, as well as his sources of illicit drugs. (Alwen Saliring)
