Covid-19 recoveries in Cagayan de Oro now at 14,253

THE total number of people who have recovered from the coronavirus disease (Covid-19) in Cagayan de Oro City reached 14,253 after 105 residents were tagged as recovered.

The City Health Office also recorded 66 new Covid-19 cases, one of whom is a locally stranded individual (LSI) and 65 are local cases, bringing the cumulative number of confirmed infections to 18,854.

Of the 65 new local cases, 32 were local index cases, 20 were close contacts of previously confirmed cases, 10 were local authorized persons outside residence (Apors), two were Apors with link, and one mortality.

Cagayan de Oro City logged 3,798 active cases, 929 of whom were admitted to the Northern Mindanao Medical Center and other hospitals in the city, 2,853 were outpatients, and 16 were returning overseas Filipinos (ROFs)/locally stranded individuals (LSIs).

The number of Covid-19 deaths in the city reached 803.

Meanwhile, the total number of coronavirus-positive vaccinated individuals in Cagayan de Oro rose to 4,427, the City Health Office reported.

According to the City Health Office, of the 4,427 vaccinees, 2,759 were vaccinated with Sinovac vaccine; 838 were vaccinated with AstraZeneca; 291 with Pfizer; 263 with Sputnik V; 259 with Janssen; five with Sinopharm; and 12 Moderna.

Of the 2,759 Covid-positive Sinovac vaccinees, 2,188 individuals were experiencing mild symptoms; 395 were asymptomatic; 169 were moderate cases; and seven were severe cases.

Among the 838 AstraZeneca vaccinees, 629 individuals had mild symptoms; 155 were asymptomatic; 50 had moderate symptoms; and four were severe cases.
