Covid-19 recoveries in Cagayan de Oro now at 156

THE total number of people who have recovered from the coronavius disease (Covid-19) in Cagayan de Oro has reached 156 after the repeat tests of six patients yielded negative results Thursday, August 21.

Those who have recovered were a 33-year-old male returning overseas Filipino worker (ROF) from the Middle East and a resident of Barangay Camaman-an; a 42-year-old male locally stranded individual (LSI) and a resident of Barangay Lapasan; a 29-year-old male LSI and a resident of Barangay Agusan; a 44-year-old male ROF and a resident of Barangay Gusa; a 37-year-old female LSI and a resident of Barangay Iponan; and a 23-year-old male LSI and a resident of Barangay Macanhan.

According to Acting City Health Officer Dr. Lorraine Nery, of the 156 total recoveries recorded in Cagayan de Oro, 129 are ROFs (32) and LSIs (97), and 27 are local cases (community: 23; APOR: 4).

As of August 21, Cagayan de Oro registered a total of 239 confirmed Covid-19 cases. Of the number, 194 are ROFs/LSIs and 45 are local cases.

The city has 74 active cases, two of whom are admitted at the Northern Mindanao Medical Center (NMMC), seven are outpatients and 65 are ROFs/LSIs.

The number of Covid-related deaths remain at nine. All of them are local cases.
