Covid-19 recoveries in Cagayan de Oro now at 19,762

THE total number of people who have recovered from the coronavirus disease (Covid-19) in Cagayan de Oro City continued to grow, now at 19,762 after 52 residents were tagged as recovered.

The City Health Office also registered 161 new Covid-19 cases.

According to the City Health Office, of the 161 new cases, one was a locally stranded individual (LSI), two were returning overseas Filipinos (ROFs) and 158 were local transmissions.

Of the 158 new local cases, 97 were local index cases, 16 were local cases with link, 36 were local authorized persons outside residence (Apors), and five were Apors with link.

The city also recorded four mortalities.

The cumulative number of confirmed infections remained at 21,696.

The City Health Office noted a continuous rise of active cases in the city, logging in a total of 1,072 active cases.

Of the figure, 259 were admitted to the Northern Mindanao Medical Center and other hospitals in the city, 775 were outpatients and 38 ROFs/LSIs.

The number of Covid-19 deaths in the city is now at 862.
