Covid-19 recoveries in Cagayan de Oro now at 19,955

THE total number of people who have recovered from the coronavirus disease (Covid-19) in Cagayan de Oro City continued to grow, now at 19,955, after 45 residents were tagged as recovered.

The City Health Office also registered 232 new Covid-19 cases.

According to the City Health Office, of the 232 new cases, three were returning overseas Filipinos (ROFs) and 229 were local transmissions.

Of the 229 new local cases, 153 were local index cases, 25 were local cases with link, 41 were local authorized persons outside residence (Apors), and nine were Apors with link.

The city also recorded one mortality.

The cumulative number of confirmed infections remained at 22,722.

The City Health Office noted a continuous rise of active cases in the city, logging in a total of 1,897 active cases.

Of the figure, 399 were admitted to the Northern Mindanao Medical Center and other hospitals in the city, 1,439 were outpatients and 59 ROFs/LSIs.

The number of Covid-19 deaths in the city is now at 870.
