Covid-19 recoveries in Cagayan de Oro now at 9,745

THE total number of people who have recovered from coronavirus disease (Covid-19) in Cagayan de Oro has reached 9,745 after 106 city residents were tagged as "recovered."

The City Health Office has also recorded 54 new Covid-19 cases, bringing the cumulative number of confirmed infections to 11,185.

Of the 54 new local cases, 35 were local index cases, 11 were close contacts of previously confirmed cases, five were local authorized persons outside residence (Apors), one Apor with link, and two mortalities.

Cagayan de Oro logged 922 active cases, 321 of whom were admitted to the Northern Mindanao Medical Center and other hospitals in the city, 600 were outpatients, and one ROF/LSI.

Meanwhile, the total number of coronavirus-positive vaccinated individuals in Cagayan de Oro was now at 1,151, city epidemiologist Dr. Joselito Retuya reported.

According to Retuya, of the 1,151 vaccinees, 762 were vaccinated with Sinovac vaccine, 280 were vaccinated with AstraZeneca, 87 with Pfizer, 19 with Sputnik V, and three Sinopharm.

Of the 762 Covid-positive Sinovac vaccinees, 558 individuals were experiencing mild symptoms, 150 were asymptomatic, 50 were moderate cases, and four were severe cases.

Among the 280 AstraZeneca vaccinees, 191 individuals had mild symptoms, 65 were asymptomatic, 23 had moderate symptoms, and one was a severe case.
