Fish production decreased

A VENDOR prepares kilos of dried fish that are sold from P120 to P196 a kilogram inside the Cogon market in Cagayan de Oro City.

Based on the National Economic and Development Authority in Northern Mindanao, fish production slightly decreased by 0.2 percent, with only 33,715 metric tons recorded during the fourth quarter of 2018.

Except for aquaculture, which grew by 1.3 percent, both commercial and municipal fishing went down by 4.2 and 0.6 percent, respectively. (Nef Luczon)
