A 24-YEAR-OLD man who allegedly sells grenade was arrested in a drug bust in Barangay Agusan Cagayan de Oro City, over the weekend.

The suspect was identified as John Dierel Mesa, resident of said village.

Police said his “business” is selling illegal explosives in the area.

Lieutenant Colonel Mardy Hortillosa, spokesperson of the Police Regional Office-Northern Mindanao (PRO-North Mindanao), said they are still investigating the number of explosives he has sold including his supplier.

Also recovered from his possession were sachet of suspected “shabu” (methamphetamine hydrochloride) worth around P7,000, a caliber .38 revolver with six live ammunition, and a hand grenade.

Hortillosa said Mesa was previously detained at the city jail in Barangay Lumbia for drug charges. He was released last March 30, 2019 through the plea bargaining program.
