THE City Health Office of Cagayan de Oro aims to vaccinate 84,000 senior citizens in the city.

According to Acting City Health Officer Dr. Lorraine Nery, as of June 3, 13,920 senior citizens have gotten their first dose of the Covid-19 vaccines.

A total of 4,742 seniors have received their second dose of the vaccine.

Nery also mentioned that the Sinovac vaccines for Northern Mindanao arrived Tuesday morning, June 8.

"Naghulat pa ta kung pila gyud ang allocation for Cagayan de Oro sa katong bag-ong Sinovac nga vaccine," Nery said.

The Pfizer vaccines, meanwhile, are set to arrive next week, giving the vaccinators enough time to be oriented on how to handle the vaccine, Nery said.

"The vaccine will arrive pa next week. We have ample time this week, over the weekend," Nery added.
