MisOr farmers get P13M worth of farm equipment

MISAMIS Oriental Governor Yevgeny Emano on Tuesday, Oct. 9, led the distribution of some P13 million worth of farm equipment to farmers in the province.

Emano, who is a farmer himself, personally checked on the different machines at the capitol grounds before it was turned over to the beneficiaries.

The capitol said at least P10-million worth of 55 machines used for farming and another 20 module livestock valued at P2 million were also distributed through the different local government units of the 16 towns in the province.

Emano said such equipment are useful in planting and harvesting rice and other root crops.

He said this will also result in high harvest and bigger income.

The capitol's top official is set to procure more equipment for farmers as agriculture is among the agenda of his administration.

Emano said he wants to see farmers prosper and improve the method of farming by introducing modern technologies.
