THE City Health Office recorded only two new coronavirus infections in Cagayan de Oro, bringing the cumulative caseload to 20,420.

All of the two new confirmed cases are close contacts of previously confirmed cases.

Cagayan de Oro also recorded a drop in the number of active cases, which is at 156. Of the figure, 30 were admitted to the Northern Mindanao Medical Center and other hospitals in the city, and 126 were outpatients.

The number of coronavirus-positive persons who were now tagged as "recovered" increased after the city registered two new recoveries. This brought the total number of recoveries in Cagayan de Oro to 19,414.

The number of Covid-19 deaths in the city remained at 850, with no new Covid-related death recorded in Cagayan de Oro.
