SEVERAL villages in the western part of Cagayan de Oro City are set to experience 18 hours of water service interruption on Tuesday, January 8.

The Cagayan de Oro Water District (COWD) said in an advisory that it shall conduct realignment of 450 millimeter (mm) and 150mm diameter steel pipe located at Gumamela street in Barangay Carmen.

The activity will cause temporary water service interruption to customers residing in some barangays in west service area.

Affected areas include Barangays Kauswagan, Bayabas, Bonbon, Patag, Macanhan, and portions of Balulang.

The interruption will begin from 9:00 a.m., Tuesday, to 3:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 9.

The COWD is advising its concessionaires in the said areas to store enough water for their consumption during the interruption period as they assure all efforts are taken to restore normal water supply the soonest possible time.
