CAGAYAN de Oro City Mayor Oscar Moreno condemned the brutal shooting of Police Superintendent Michael John Deloso on Tuesday, November 20, by a riding in tandem in Luna Street, provincial compound.

Moreno said "any shooting or killing is a barbaric act and must be condemned by any decent society."

"We urge the police authorities, including the NBI, CIDG and other law enforcement agencies to conduct immediately an investigation in order to identify the perpetrators and other persons responsible," he said

Asked if he intends to form a task force to focus on the shooting incident, Moreno said it has already been automatically activated immediately after the shooting happened.

"We hope and pray that Colonel Deloso recovers fully and speedily as we expect to identify the suspects and bring them before the bar of justice," he added.

Deloso, who sustained multiple gunshot wounds, is said to be in stable condition now.

THREAT. According to a Capitol consultant, the Cebu City Government is threatening to shut down the Cebu North Bus Terminal at the back of SM City Cebu (left) and the Cebu South Bus Terminal along N. Bacalso Ave. for operating without a business permit. The Province, which runs both terminals, maintains that it operates the facilities as a public service for passengers going to the province and vice versa. /
