Only 1 new Covid-19 case logged in Cagayan de Oro

THE number of new coronavirus infections in Cagayan de Oro has gone all the way down as the city recorded only one new Covid-19 case, the City Health Office reported Saturday, April 2, 2022.

This brought the number of Covid-19 cases in the city to 25,799.

According to the City Health Office medical officer Dr. Teodoro Yu Jr., the new local index case involves a vaccinated 65-year-old female from Barangay Bulua.

Cagayan de Oro's active cases have also gone down to 21, of which 10 were admitted to the Northern Mindanao Medical Center and other hospitals in the city, 10 were outpatients and one returning overseas Filipino/locally stranded individual (ROF/LSI).

The city also registered four new coronavirus-positive persons who were now tagged as "recovered." This brought the total number of recoveries in Cagayan de Oro to 24,843.

The number of Covid-19 deaths in the city was 935 in total.
