Only 2 new Covid-19 cases in Oro over the weekend

THE number of new coronavirus infections in Cagayan de Oro continued to drop, with only two additional cases reported over the weekend.

The city now has a total of 20,423 Covid-19 cases.

The City Health Office said of the two local cases, one was a close contact of a previously confirmed case and the other was a mortality.

The active cases in Cagayan de Oro went down to 133, of which 27 were admitted to the Northern Mindanao Medical Center and other hospitals in the city, and 106 were outpatients.

Cagayan de Oro also registered an increase in the number of new coronavirus-positive persons who were tagged as "recovered."

Over the weekend, the city recorded 21 recoveries, bringing the total number of recoveries in Cagayan de Oro to 19,439.

The number of Covid-19 deaths in the city is now at 851.
