Oro logs 33 new Covid-19 cases over the weekend

THE Cagayan de Oro City Health Office logged 33 new coronavirus disease (Covid-19) cases over the weekend, three of which are locally stranded individuals (LSIs) and 30 are local transmissions.

This brought the total number of confirmed coronavirus infections in the city to 4,331.

Acting City Health Officer Dr. Lorraine Nery said of the 30 new local cases, 15 are close contacts of previously confirmed cases, 11 are local index cases, two are persons deprived of liberty (PDLs), and two are local authorized persons outside residence (Apors).

Of the 4,331 total Covid-19 cases in the city, 434 are under the returning overseas Filipino workers/locally stranded individuals (ROFs/LSIs) category and 3,897 cases are local transmissions.

Cagayan de Oro recorded 242 active cases, 75 of whom are admitted to the Northern Mindanao Medical Center and other hospitals in the city, 159 are outpatients, and eight are ROFs/LSIs.

The city also registered 11 new coronavirus-positive persons who are now tagged as "recovered," bringing the total number of recoveries in Cagayan de Oro to 3,886, with a 89.72-percent recovery rate.

Of the figure, 303 were LSIs, 121 were ROFs, and 3,462 were local cases (community: 2,936; Apors: 526).

The number of Covid-19 deaths in the city is now at 203.
