THE City Government of Cagayan de Oro is preparing a list of proposed "big ticket" projects to be recommended to President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. for national government funding.

This was confirmed by acting City Planning and Development Office Chief Ramil Balquin, whose office was ordered by City Mayor Rolando "Klarex" Uy to prepare the said list.

"The mayor has instructed me verbally for the City Planning to prepare a list of big ticket projects that will be presented to the president when he comes over to the city," Balquin said.

According to Balquin, among the major projects on the list for being considered for funding are an expanded security camera (closed circuit TV/CCTV) system in Cagayan de Oro, a fire safety system for the city's four public markets and City Hall, and several components of the city's transportation master plan.

For the preparation, the City Planning acting chief said that their office will be coordinating with the City Engineering Office, City Housing and Urban Development Department and other major departments of the local government.
