Oro mayor tells Kikang not to worry

Sunnexdesk

CAGAYAN de Oro City Mayor Oscar Moreno said Wednesday, March 6, Vice Mayor Rainier Joaquin “Kikang” Uy should not worry about resigning since his challenger Jose Gabriel “Pompee” La Viña will not win.

Moreno was reacting to Uy’s statement that he will step down if La Viña wins the mayoral post in the May elections.

“Maningkamot gyud ko nga modaog ta (We will do our best to win). To reciprocate his statement, the more intense I would be sa pagpaningkamot kay kahibalo ko nga committed gyud siya pud sa pag-suporta (work hard because I know he is committed in supporting us),” he added.

Uy earlier said it would be difficult to work with a mayor who has different aspirations with his. He said, La Viña, has not even laid a concrete program for the city yet.

Moreno’s team are getting ready for the onset of the local campaign period on March 29 to May 11, 2019. (PJO)
