Pag-Ibig urges public to use online payment

THE Home Development Mutual Fund or Pag-Ibig is reminding employers in Cagayan de Oro to pay for the monthly savings or loan amortizations through its online payment facility.

According to Ma. Beverly Adsuara, chief of Division 3 Marketing and Sales of Pag-Ibig Cagayan de Oro west branch, Pag-Ibig has been informing the employers to enroll to its online payment facility for years.

She added that initially, they decided for a deadline in 2016, however there are several employers who still transact over-the-counter payments, saying that they are still on the process of enrolling or they transferred to different bank.

During the Employers Forum last Wednesday, April 24, Pag-Ibig encouraged the employers from the west area of Cagayan de Oro City to register for the online payment facility as they will stop accepting transactions done over the counter.

Adsuara said over-the-counter payments can only be accepted if the employer or company is late and cannot be processed in the online payment facility.

“After this forum, we are expecting na lahat mag comply na (all will comply), (and they will become) aware na sila na hindi talaga namin tatanggapin na. Tinatanggap namin (we can only accept) as long as they can show us a proof that they have already, at least, enrolled sa ating (in our) online payment facility,” Adsuara said.

Working groups like laborers and rural improvement club of Cagayan de Oro will have no need to enroll to online payment facility, she added.

Apart from its payment facility, Pag-Ibig also discussed updates on the Fund’s provident operations, policies and programs; unposted member savings; countryside housing initiative; and group sale (housing) during the Employers Forum.

“We are conducting Employers’ Forum for our employers and our members to be aware of the latest programs and the policies and guidelines of Pag-Ibig Fund,” she said.

The forum, Adsuara said, will run until Friday, April 26.
