ANTI-NARCOTICS agents have arrested two women in simultaneous drug busts in Barangays Balulang and Carmen, Cagayan de Oro City early Thursday, March 7.

Arrested were Baisanie Lucman alias "Baisanie Sangcopan," 29, resident of Mabasa, Carinogan, Balulang; and Bairona Lucman alias "Bairo Sangcopan", 22, of Macanhan, Carmen.

The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in Northern Mindanao (PDEA-10) said the two have denied knowing each other.

"Dili sila moangkon nga kaila sila or paryente. Wala man pud sila nag-resist (they didn't admit that they know each other or relatives. They didn't resist either)," PDEA-Northern Mindanao spokesperson Rosemarie Bajao said.

Authorities seized from their possession sachets of suspected shabu, or methamphetamine hydrochloride, worth nearly P14,000.

Bajao said the two suspects were on the drug watch list of PDEA-10 for peddling illegal drugs.

Both women have refused to reveal their sources.

"(They are still) under investigation pa ni sila. Dili kaayo sila gatubag sa mga pangutana busa galisod ta makakuha og detalye (They did not answer our questions, that is why we are having a hard time getting the details)," he said.

Pieces of evidence taken from them were forwarded to the crime laboratory while the suspects are detained at the PDEA detention facility pending the filing of drug charges. (AS)
