Persons with coronavirus in Cagayan de Oro now at 1,567

THIRTY-SIX residents tested positive for Sars-CoV-2, bringing the total number of confirmed coronavirus disease (Covid-19) cases in Cagayan de Oro to 1,567.

Acting City Health Officer Dr. Lorraine Nery said 19 of the 36 new local cases are close contacts of previously confirmed cases and five are local authorized persons outside residence (Apors).

Of the 1,567 total Covid-19 cases in the city, 357 are under the returning overseas Filipino workers/locally stranded individuals (ROFs/LSIs) category and 1,210 cases are local transmissions.

Cagayan de Oro has recorded 537 active cases, 24 of whom are admitted to the Northern Mindanao Medical Center (NMMC), 499 are outpatients, and 14 are ROFs/LSIs.

The city also registered 13 coronavirus-positive persons who are now tagged as "recovered" after their repeat swab test result came out negative on Tuesday, October 27.

This brought the total number of recoveries in Cagayan de Oro to 962.

Of the figure, 248 are LSIs, 94 are ROFs, and 620 are local cases (community: 462; Apor: 158).

The number of Covid-19 deaths in the city is now at 68.
