THE Philippine TCM Center Inc. is exploring the possibility of putting up a center for traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) in Cagayan de Oro.

Earlier this February, officials from the Philippine TCM Center visited the office of City Mayor Rolando "Klarex" Uy to discuss their intent to establish a TCM center in the city.

"We are honored to have been visited by you and your interest in our city. We are a growing city south of the Philippines and we are the trading center in Northern Mindanao. As such, we are a melting pot of people, culture, and products," Uy said.

Uy welcomed their interest in setting up a center as this does not only improve the health sector of Cagayan de Oro, but also its economic sector.

"After the pandemic hit us, we are now working on the recovery of businesses and the economy. And with this is our effort to invite and welcome many investments that will generate more jobs, and provide economic returns to the programs, services, and investments of the city," the city mayor said.

"In the process, we are creating an environment where investments and enterprises flourish and generate better returns," he added.
