‘Shabu’ worth P200,000 seized in Oro, Iligan

NEARLY P200,000 worth of suspected illegal drugs were seized by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA)-Northern Mindanao in three separate operations in Cagayan de Oro and Iligan City on Monday, October 7.

Anti-narcotics agents arrested a target-listed drug personality identified as Roel Ramas, 29, resident of Piaping Itum, Barangay Macabalan, Cagayan de Oro City.

Authorities seized a sachet suspected shabu (Methamphetamine hydrochloride) worth around P136,000.

In Upper Carmen, Sandato Sarip also known as Sanny Santican, 36, was also arrested by joint operatives from PDEA-Northern Mindanao and Misamis Oriental Police Provincial Office.

Sarip yielded P6,800 worth of illegal drugs.

Meanwhile, in Iligan City, another target-listed drug personality was arrested through a joint operation by PDEA-Northern Mindanao and Iligan-Lanao del Norte Police Provincial Office.

Authorities arrested Mohammad Faiz Hadji Malik, 32, a resident of Maguing, Lanao del Sur.

Seized from the suspect was suspected shabu worth P40,800.

The suspects were detained and will face drug charges.
