ALAE National High School in Bukidnon and Corpus Christi School of Cagayan de Oro made a 1-2 finish to qualify in the Mindanao elimination stage of the Philippine Volleyball Federation (PVF)-Tanduay Athletics Girls Under-18 "Series In Your Cities" Volleyball Tournament.

The Corpus Christi girls lost in their opening game assignment but bounced back against a team from Bukidnon en route to a final match-up with eventual champion Alae National High School on Saturday, August 17, at St. Mary's covered court in Cagayan de Oro City.

Third place went to BNSHI School of Maramag, Bukidnon.

"Walo ka teams ang nagdula pero duha ra ang mo-advance sa Mindanao elimination stage," said tournament coordinator Alex Adeva.
