TRIATHLETES from Cagayan de Oro sparkled in the Trayatlon Ta Gingoog 2018 on Sunday, July 22, at Pahayahay sa Pantalan in Gingoog City.

Oro’s prize racer Brian Borling and traffic man John Rey Tumanda made a 1-2 finish in the men’s open, while high school teacher Jenefer Paloma ruled in the women’s open division.

The 33-year-old Borling, a pride of Barangay Kauswagan and Tri-Mindanao club, finished in 2 hours and 12 minutes in dominating his division, while SND Baracuda’s Tumanda, 28, followed him with 6 minutes difference at 2 hours and 18 minutes.

“Oro runners dominated the field and we thank our supporters,” said Tumanda, who thanked his sponsor Mayor Uloy Dimaporo, Sami Dimaporo and lawyer Noah Dimaporo.

The 24-year-old Paloma, who is applying for regular teacher at the Misamis Oriental General Comprehensive High School (MOGCHS), won in lopsided fashion.

The substitute teacher from MOGCHS clocked 2 hours and 44 minutes and a 15-minute margin against the runner-up from Quezon, Bukidnon.

Paloma thanked her sponsor in Brgy. 21 chairwoman Gilda Go and the Misamis Oriental province.
