EXCITING matches are now in full throttle for the 3rd Cagayan de Oro Fiesta Volleyball Open Tournament.

Slated August 23 to 26, the Higalaay Volleyball games are simultaneously held at the Corpus Christi gym in Macasandig and the nearby Nazareth gymnasium.

With a whooping P80,000 cash plus trophy awaiting each of the men and women’s team champions, the Oro fiesta’ s main sports highlight is guaranteed to be a sure-fire hit with the Pocari Sweat-backed Philippine Air Force--led last year by the talented and good-looking Myla “Typhoon” Pablo-- trying to defend the women’ s crown.

Competing with them are the Philippine Army-Manila, Good Health-Manila, Harbor Pilots-Cebu, BDO-Cebu, JMC-Davao, Anytime Fitness Abreeza-Davao, Awol de Davao-Dvo, General Santos City, CJC Lions-Digos, BPO/CdeO Youth, IMCC-Iligan, Xavier University-CDO, PCC-CDO, Deltas-CDO and St. Alexius College of Marbel.

“Ang women’s volleyball karon mora na usab og PBA. Bibo kini nga tournament lisod palabyon,” said tournament organizer Alex Adeva.

The 3rd Higalaay Volleyball Open stakes P80,000, P50,000, P30,000 and P20,000 for the top four performing teams in each category.
