HOST 4th Infantry Division (4ID) Diamond scored another upset victory, this time handing the pacesetting NBI-10 of its first loss, 61-53 in the ongoing 2018 Travelers Invitational Basketball Tournament at 4ID gym in brgy. Patag here.

Jerome Suniog led the army troopers with 17 points, while Ryan Buji and John Jomons scored 12 and 11 markers, respectively.

The 4ID and NBI-10 engaged in a tight match right from the start.

From a 45-all deadlock in the final fourth period, NBI-10 got the chance for a break away win after Raymart Amay sank a trey.

But, Sumiog and Jomons were on fire conspiring for a 13-1 run to end the NBI-10’s winning streak.

“We are lucky that our players are complete and their presence intensified and completed the 4ID team,” said 1st Lt. Joseph Say of the 4ID.

The Soldiers, winless in their first two outings, recovered on time by upstaging first the Eagles Club.

Even in defeat, the NBI-10 remains on top of the lead sharing first place with the Ruffians at 3-1.

CVL Maguindanao now improves to 2-3 after winning by default against the Eagles.
