ACCENTURE has received back-to-back recognition from industry and government officials for its efforts in developing and supporting its workforce and for its commitment to the environment.

After being named the Best Employer of the Year in March at the annual International ICT Awards Philippines for its industry-leading and talent-focused initiatives, Accenture was presented with the Environmental Performance Award from the Philippine Economic Zone Authority (Peza) in May for its efforts to care for the environment. The Environmental Performance Award is given to top locator enterprises that implement an environmental management system, have a record of sustained compliance with environmental regulations, and demonstrate continued improvement in waste management, energy and material use, water preservation and restoration and air pollution prevention, among other areas.

Accenture received the International ICT Awards Philippines Best Employer of the Year award for its industry-leading initiatives in developing talent, advancing inclusion and diversity, and supporting the welfare of its employees.

The award, which Accenture also won in 2008 and 2017, is given to the company that has showcased leadership in elevating employee potential and success by institutionalizing a talent-led approach that paves the way forward to a more diverse, inclusive and future-ready workforce.

Organized by the Canadian Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines and supported by the Information Technology and Business Process Association of the Philippines, the International ICT Awards Philippines recognizes companies that have exhibited leadership and excellence in the local information and communications technology (ICT) industry.

“We are honored to receive these recognitions from Peza and the IT-BPM industry,” said Lito Tayag, managing director for Accenture in the Philippines. (PR)
