CCCI president wins 2019 Movers and Shakers Award

CEBU Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) President Virgilio “Nonoy” Espeleta bagged the 2019 Movers and Shakers Award in the Asia Human Resources Development (HRD) Awards Tuesday, July 16, 2019 in Malaysia.

Asia’s HRD Awards is a prestigious celebration and recognition of virtuosos whose contribution to people development have impacted society.

The award is given to those who have demonstrated accomplishments by actively influencing changes and breakthroughs in people development.

They “move” communities by “shaking” existing practices and are pioneers who challenge the status quo and strive for continued development.

The Asia HRD awards is currently being held at the Grand Hall of Cyberjaya University College of Medical Science Campus in Malaysia.

Besides being CCCI’s president, Espeleta is also the founding president and principal consultant of FamCor Franchise Management and Executive Development Corp., where he engages in handholding mid-sized, mostly, family-run enterprises to achieve their highest growth potential by crafting and implementing sustainable strategic business roadmaps.

He is also known as the “Dean” of the Kapatid Mentor Me Program of the Department of Trade and Industry for ensuring the substantive course outline of the program and selection of businessmen/entrepreneur mentors from Cebu’s business community. (SunStar Cebu)
