Sunnexdesk

IN GOVERNMENT, everything evolves and updates abound.

This is why selected local government units (LGUs) and government agencies continue to conduct their own information campaigns. These include the Philippine Health Insurance Corp. (PhilHealth) and the Department of Trade and Industry, to name a few.

To provide relevant and updated information on permits, licenses and reportorial requirements, a forum is being organized with resource speakers from the licensing offices of the cities of Cebu, Mandaue and Lapu-Lapu.

Representatives from the Bureau of Internal Revenue are also invited to speak on year-end reportorial requirements.

The forum is organized by Richdad Business Institute Inc., the training division of Minerva and Company, Certified Public Accountants. It will be held at the Parklane International Hotel on Dec. 28 from 1 to 5 p.m.

Those interested to attend are asked to email Jona V. Navales at jonalynvnavales.richdad@gmail.com or call the following numbers: (032) 238-2566, (032) 412-3838, 0922-8818300, 0928-7154603 or 0956-2778075. (PR)

THREAT. According to a Capitol consultant, the Cebu City Government is threatening to shut down the Cebu North Bus Terminal at the back of SM City Cebu (left) and the Cebu South Bus Terminal along N. Bacalso Ave. for operating without a business permit. The Province, which runs both terminals, maintains that it operates the facilities as a public service for passengers going to the province and vice versa. /
