THE Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) 7 invites business owners and entrepreneurs to join this year’s batch of “Kapatid Mentor Me” (KMME), a free business mentorship program.

The KMME program aims to help micro, small and medium enterprises expand their business through mentorship. The program is in partnership with the Philippine Center for Entrepreneurship-Go Negosyo and the Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry since 2016.

This year’s KMME is free-of-charge. It provides online business mentorship sessions where business owners and entrepreneurs have the opportunity to sign up for a 10 module crash course program handled by seasoned business owners and practitioners.

In this program, entrepreneurs will be taught on subjects focusing on the various aspects of business that cover the basic functional areas of an enterprise and its sustainability such as production and operation management, marketing, accounting and finance, contracts, planning and development, and human resources management.

To those who wish to apply for the program, the DTI 7 said business owners must be operating at least one year by Feb. 28, 2023, and must have appropriate business documents from the DTI, Securities and Exchange Commission, and Cooperative Development Authority. They must also obtain mayor’s permit and registration from the Bureau of Internal Revenue.

Selected applicants have to undergo 12 half day sessions twice a week. They must also have a stable internet connection and a device to join the online sessions.

The deadline of submission of applications will be on Feb. 28, 2023.

A total of 95 mentees graduated in last year’s program.
