SAWASDEE Ka!

The Miss Universe 2018 pageant is headed to Bangkok, Thailand on Dec. 16.

The Miss Universe Organization and the Thailand Government made the announcement in a press conference last Tuesday.

Miss Philippines Catriona Gray posted a video of herself visiting some of Thailand’s tourist spots on Instagram. She said in the caption: “Sawasdee Ka Thailand! So excited that the rumors are true and that it’s finally official! @missuniverse to be held in Thailand, December 2018. So excited to go back to one of my favorite travel destinations!”

This will be the third time the Miss Universe pageant will be held in Thailand. The country also hosted in 1992 and 2005.

Miss Universe 2017 Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters joined the official announcement of the pageant venue.
