Pepe Smith dies at 71

THE Filipino rock music icon, Joseph William Feliciano Smith also known as Pepe Smith, passed away Monday, January 28.

He was 71 years old.

Her daughter, Daisy Smith-Owen, shared the sad news on her Facebook account Monday morning.

She expressed her gratitude toward her father, saying: "Thank you for everything papa bear ko. Thank you for being the best dad in the world. I know you're in the best place now, no more pains papa... Iwill see you in few days. I love you to the moon and back."

The rock star was rushed to the hospital Monday morning.

He suffered from stroke in 2017.

Smith was part of the iconic band Juan dela Cruz.
