AS THE country grapples with the ongoing pandemic, Arthaland shows solidarity with the health workers at the front lines by initiating a donation drive, gathering funds to help them and the patients they’re treating power through these trying times.

Primarily, majority of the funds collected will go into building temporary quarantine facilities, as an answer to the cry of hospitals and the staff who are working tirelessly day in and day out. These temporary quarantine facilities are intended to augment the capacity of hospitals, so that Covid-19 patients can get the urgent treatment they need.

In Cebu, Arthaland partnered with Bayanihan Cebu, a private sector-led information drive. With the organization’s help and generous benefactors, the Bayanihan Cebu Field Center in the IEC Convention Center was built. The facility, which can accommodate around 200 patients, houses Covid-19 patients who have mild to moderate symptoms.

As a means to help flatten the curve sooner, Arthaland has also donated 2,000 reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction test kits to Cebu City. The turnover of the test kits in August was attended by several public officials such as the City Health Department’s Dr. Jeffrey Ibones and Office of Cebu City Mayor's Chief of Staff Atty. Mary Rose Lubino.
