Celebrating hope for the holidays at Tambuli

Monique F. Pardillo

The holidays have been drastically different since 2020. The pandemic crippled the world with anxiety but after two long years, Cebu is finally getting some semblance of normalcy which Cebuanos have yearned for.

In celebration of the Cebuanos’ resiliency and in the spirit of giving back, Tambuli Seaside Resorts and Spa held its annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony in the resort’s lobby, as well as their annual charity event in which the donations will benefit the children of Maribago.

The theme for this year’s tree lighting is “Coming Home,” as Cebu is slowly adjusting to the new normal. Now, everyone can celebrate the holidays to the fullest, and Tambuli Seaside Resorts and Spa presents itself as the perfect weekend getaway for families and friends to finally come together and enjoy the beautiful amenities it has to offer.

While celebrating three years of amazing service, the resort also stressed out the importance of giving back during this season of giving. Through its annual charity event (this year’s theme is “pin one’s hope”), guests and visitors can avail themselves of a beautifully crafted rattan ornament that they can hang on the resort’s Filipino-inspired Christmas tree at the lobby. The ornament is priced at P250.

Keeping hope alive through this activity is one of the many ways that Tambuli is helping the community as it is essential for them to always give back to Maribago and its people.

The event was well-attended as people gathered to celebrate. One of the prominent figures that attended the event was Lapu-Lapu City Mayor Junard “Ahong” Chan as well as Tambuli Resort’s general manager, Eya Shrimski.

This event served as a reminder that, with the holidays fast approaching, it is important to make these days memorable not just for our respective families and friends but also for other members of the community.

Life is short. It is important to make the most out of it by helping others and doing whatever to make the world a better place.
