Christmas trees and songs

Mila Espina

What is Christmas without the symbolic tree and songs?

The Christmas trees come in various colors and lights at home and in various establishments.

In the 16th century, devout Christians in Germany brought decorated Christmas trees in their homes. It was said that Martin Luther installed the first colorful Christmas lights.

There are many versions about the origin of the symbolic Christmas tree. Similarly, Christmas songs were sung and the most popular had been “Silent Night,” “Holy Night,” “Jingle Bells” and “Oh, Little Town of Bethlehem.”

As years rolled by, the Christmas trees and songs came in multifarious versions, but the essence of Christmas remained intact. During these pandemic days, Christmas trees and songs enliven us with a promise of a healthier life. The home becomes the haven of meaningful Christmas trees and music.

This page shows some improvised Christmas trees.
